Here are the winners of the Catawba Valley Camera Club’s Image*ination Photography Contest for 2012.

These photographers were awarded certificates and cash prizes by our club president, Donny Teague at a reception at the Hickory Museum of Art on Friday, January 11, 2013.

Robert Dant, club member, gave the Catawba Valley Camera Club a lesson on Using Layers And Masking at our Wednesday night meeting.  I think we all learned some new stuff even for those that already uses Photoshop for post production.  Thanks Robert for a very informative talk.

Recently, the Catawba Valley Camera Club held it annual End of Year Competition ceremony for 2012.  After a fine covered dish dinner, awards were presented to the following year end winners.

The Catawba Valley Camera Club meets on the first and third Wednesdays of every month, at 7:00 pm in the North Annex of the Arts Center in Hickory.  Meetings consist of competition among members as well as instructional lectures. Field trips are planned throughout the year to enable members to share and demonstrate techniques as well as spend time enjoying photography together.   The next meeting will be January 2, 2013.
