Things that are broken

Anything that is obviously broken from it’s natural or new state. (cracked eggs or broken light bulb?)

Flowers as still life.

Cut flowers or artificial flowers as the focal point of the image. NOT flowers in their natural habitat

Rock Stars:

Images with rocks as the main subject matter. Pebbles in a stream, boulders on a mountain or gravel in your driveway.

Repeating patterns:

Patterns you find that repeat themselves at least 3 times within the image. Natural or man made patterns are fine.

Hands:

Hands are the main subject. Hands at rest or doing anything so long as the hands are the subject. Football team’s hands before a game. Young or old hands.

Reflections:

Reflections of anything on anything so long as it’s an obvious reflection. One building in another’s glass. Fall colors on water. Beauty in a mirror.

Cannon Downtown:

Images of the Howitzer on Union Square in Hickory.

Night Photography:

Images with out a flash of any subject made after civil dusk and before civil dawn on the date it was shot.

Shoes:

Shoes of any type (boots too) either on or off the body. So long as the shoes are the obvious subject

Wildlife:

Any image of a non-domestic animal in it’s natural habitat. (ie NOT a zoo) Bunnies, birds, alligators, deer, spiders, bugs, snakes, squirrels etc.
