Recently, members of the Catawba Valley Camera Club took a field trip to Mount Mitchell to photograph the waterfalls.
Rick Bell is not in the photo as his butt was too sore from a slip on a slippery rock slope. Donny Teague was to my left as I shot. (Would have needed a fish’s eye). Wink Gaines’ head is actually in the photo to Ed Lane’s left. The butt belongs to Tom Devlin and Dennis Hacker, our fearless leader, is to the right. I think all are therefore accounted for except Tom brought his wife Helen along. I believe she wrote poetry but cannot verify such matters. – Steven Gold
