The Catawba Valley Camera Club meets at 7:00 pm on the first and third Wednesdays of each month in the North Annex of the Arts Center in Hickory.  (See the schedule by clicking on the schedule tab at the top of this page.).  Directions to find us are listed in the right hand column.

4/3/13 – Open Projection Competition

The Catawba Valley Camera Club has announced the winners of its photographic competition for the April 3, 2013 meeting.  The open competition was 2 projected images.

 

The Accomplished Division winners were:

 

First place – Wink Gaines – “Great Blue Profile”

Second place – Janice Setzler – “Cedar Waxwing”

 

   

Third place – Wink Gaines – “Anastasia Formation”

 

  

Honorable Mention – Donny Teague – “White Trillium”

 

 

 

 

The Intermediate Division winners were:

 

First place – Rich Hites – “Face of the Cherokee”

 

   

Second place – Cindy Martin – “Natchez, New Orleans”

  

Third Place – Chip Young – “Shrimp Boats in Georgetown”

 

  

Honorable Mention – John Pascone – “Florida Vacation”

 

 The Catawba Valley Camera Club meets on the first and third Wednesdays of every month, at 7:00 pm in the North Annex of the Arts Center in Hickory. Meetings consist of competition among members as well as instructional lectures. Field trips are planned throughout the year to enable members to share and demonstrate techniques as well as spend time enjoying photography together. The next meeting will be April 17, 2013. The program will be an Instructional –  Using & Understanding Perspective with Jack Daulton. The public is invited to attend, membership is not required. The Catawba Valley Camera Club has announced the winners of its photographic competition for the March 20, 2013 meeting.  The open competition was 2 Printed images.
